I really great friend shared these quotes with me.

the prophet Nephi describes the Final Judgement in terms of what we have become:...
" From such teachings we conclude that the Final Judgement is not just an evaluation of a sum total of good and evil acts- what we have done. It is an acknowledgment of the final effect of our acts and thoughts-what we havebecome. It is not enough for anyone just to go through the motions. The commandments, ordinances, and covenants of the gospel are not a list of deposits required to be made in some heavenly account. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a plan that shows us how to become what our Heavenly Father desires us to become"

"Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses applied simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more. He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of searching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain"
Richard G. Scott

Quote #1:
Its true I don't believe that life is just a check off list,
i went to the temple check,
i served someone in need today check,
i attend FHE every week check. =I am going to Heaven.
Although i think it can start out that way... i believe along the way peoples hearts change and become more like Christ. By doing the everyday "tasks" or good deeds they will help us become who we are supposed to be, who God knows we can be, it changes who we are and how we view our lives. Going through the motions is good but won't do us any good if we don't change and start doing things for the reasons God asks us to do those things.

Quote #2:
This is what I was assigned to speak about a couple(okay 2 months) Sundays ago. How adversity in our lives is our chance to grow and become the person God knows we can be. Its not ever how we think it is going to be or the trials we think we need to have, but yes I agree with Elder Scott when he says, "To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of searching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain"

I love you: the ups- the downs -the all!

I don't know how i missed it, but this past week(april 6, 2010) was the week that Curt first said I love you since he had been back from his mission.

Man do i love him! We've been through a bunch and as most of you have told me we can never make up our minds but it works for us! Its different than most of my friends love or the love i have had examples of but I would never change it and have no regrets.

I love you CPM through it all!
