This is my hundredth post in cyber world. And I have contemplated what to write about. I felt the need for it to be a special post because yes its #100; should be a big deal right...answer is yes! The past week & a little, there have been too many times when I have wanted and needed to blog about events and life; but none seemed worthy of this mark in my series of blog posts. So here I am sitting at JW in the middle of the day in the middle of the week making history on my blog.

I have these moments in life when I am in love. With songs, relationships, food, books, stories, conversations, events, activities, locations, emotions, one liners, texts, emails, letters and PEOPLE. Moments that truly make my heart beat faster, eyes get watery, whole body overwhelmed with goodness and happiness. I want to tell everyone in those moments all that I am thinking and how life can be so wonderful.

So my 100th post goes to all the moments in life when I can't breathe because its so amazing. I love my life and all the blessings that God has given me! My moments are reminders of how dreams and ideas can be a reality. That they are my reality. I love love love these moments in my life.

Although i think it can start out that way... i believe along the way peoples hearts change and become more like Christ. I don't know how i missed it, but this past week(april 6, 2010) was the week that Curt first said I love you since he had been back from his mission.

Man do i love him! We've been through a bunch and as most of you have told me we can never make up our minds but it works for us! Its different than most of my friends love or the love i have had examples of but I would never change it and have no regrets.

Missions are hard for any of the loved ones that are sending off a missionary. Moms, dads, brothers, sisters or the "special friend"...

We need to stick together and remember how great missions are and all the good they bring to both the missionary and the people back at home. It's a time of growth. So many blessings come from serving a mission! Though it is hard saying goodbye, we need to remember the greatness that comes from a mission, and to rely on the Lord in all things.

Lately i have been reading because yes i don't go to school anymore so instead of reading textbooks like the past 4years i have moved

on to literature. Right now I am reading "Between a rock and a hard place". Its the book about the man( aron) who was hiking in moab and a boulder fell on his arm and in order to survive he cut his arm off. A film was produced about Aron's experience, its called 127(here for trailer) i have been looking forward to seeing this for about a month maybe more. But yes the reader inside me told me to read the book first. So here i am reading it. The following quote is from this amazing book. Aron is actually quoting a passage from another book, "Into the wild".

"So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. the joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have and endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and difference sun."

I have always had a love and passion for adventure especially for the outdoors...so to say the least this is a huge motivator for me!!! Be happy and live life!

1: When people point to their wrist when they ask you what time it is. I know where my freaking watch is pal, where is yours. When I go to Wal-mart, I don't point at my crotch when I'm asking for the bathroom.
‎2: People who are willing to get off the arse to search an entire room for the remote control when they could have just as easily pushed the buttons on the TV in half of the time.
3: When people say, "It's the last place you look." NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!! Why the freak would you keep looking after you found it. Do people actually do this?! Who are they?
‎4: When you go to the movies and your friend leans over and says, "OMG did you just see that?!" No idiot... I just paid 8.50 to sit in a dark room with uncomfortable seats and stare into the back of my eyelids.
‎5: When people ask, "Can I ask you a question?" Didn't give me much of a choice on that one did you sunshine?
‎6: Ads that say something is "New AND Improved." Well?? Which is it. If it's new, then there hasn't been anything before it that could have been improved. And if it is improved that implies that it isn't new, but just upgraded.
‎7: When people say life is short... ARE YOU FISTING ME?! LIFE IS THE LONGEST THING WE DO!! What do people do that is any longer? I REALLY WANT TO KNOW.
‎8: When you are waiting for the bus and people would ask you, "Has the bus already come yet?" Lights on but nobody's home. Would I be here if it had come?
‎9: When people say, "My eyes aren't what they used to be.." What did they used to be? Ears?
‎10: When you are eating something and somebody asks if it is good. No good sir. It is absolutely revolting. I love eating things I hate.
11: When people announce that they are going to the toilet. Thank you for that image I really didn't need.
‎12: McDonalds staff that pretend like they don't know what you are talking about unless you preface every word with Mc... How about I grab a Mcstraw and Mcstab it into your Mcfreaking Mceye. Comprende?

14: When I go skateboarding/snowboarding and I eat crap. Inevitably one of my friends will run up and while doing nothing but standing over me ask me if I'm alright. After I fell on the concrete I decided that it kinda reminded me of my down feather pillow and I thought I might take a little nap right here right now... NO I'M NOT ALRIGHT!!!

Well I am a little late on starting this, but I have always been told by friends, parents, and significant others that "its better late than never!" So starting tomorrow I will attempt the 365 project. (mine ending on Jan. 14, 2012 instead of New Years Day 2012)

Last night I was laying in bed just thinking about life and where mine is headed. Of course thinking of life I did a little reviewing of what my last year was like. Mostly it was filled with the love of my life Curtis. Seeing that my closest friends read this you all probably know him and have read the multiple blog posts that have been centered around him. There have been days where Curt and I have studied hard, played hard, and worked hard together. 2010 is now over and its strange contemplating what is next for me.

I graduated, I did it which means no more schooling; no more all nighters writing a paper that feels like will never come together. No more 2nd floor lib computer lab. No more waking up at 6:30 for my early morning classes to find zero parking at the U. No more checking webct just in case my teacher posted something new. No more walking past the construction zone business circle. No more free newspapers from OSH. No more longing for fall/winter/spring/summer break. No more school no more school...I miss it already!!!

Now I have my degree, and its time to say goodbye to my college job. Jones Waldo: my everyday consistent friend for the past 3 years. I love working here, great hours, great boss, great amounts of time off if wanted, and the best co-workers! It will be hard to say farewell to this place, but a new job is the game plan! (hopefully by April)

I am so thankful for the lessons I learned and the people that influenced my life. There were key people that I will never forget and will love for a long time.
Kendal we have gone through everything, we know everything about each other and know how life can be sometimes. The lovely daily chat at the desk are times that get me through the day (even if Jaron will stop and pretend he has something to tell us..even though its just his way of saying KATIE GO DOWNSTAIRS!) Our looks of pure understanding when we are about to burst into tears. I love you and love that you know exactly who I am. I'm so glad you are my best friend, cousin, and work pal!
Des wow! Thank you for just about everything! Loved becoming such great friends, being there for each other when certain boys were confusing and our over analyzing selves were acting crazy! Oh Faune! From nothing to sisters! still crossing my fingers!
And to Curtis. He will never read this, but thank you for being you. Thank you for being the love of my life. Thank you for all our days together! You are always an example of who I want to become. You have changed my life and I have loved loving you.

I am not saying goodbye to; 2010, school, and work. I am just beginning to say hello to 2011, for new opportunities and an unexpected everything. I loved 2010 and the comfort I had in knowing how it was all going to work. It was how my life has been for the last 6 years and it was what I was used to. There were a million trials that I didn't know existed and a million times I couldn't believe my life could be so happy! It was a year that I loved and will miss.

3rd of July:
This is one of my favorite holidays not only because its now summer and all the grey freezing rain and slushy spring is gone but because for a good half hour you get to sit with your lover and watch fireworks!
(Saturday)
Curt and I went swimming which was a first for Curt in about 2years and 9months and my first for this summer! What a blast I forget how much fun swimming can be. racing to the other side of the pool, tea parties, hands up stands up, and the marco polo game! After swimming we grabbed some lunch and headed off to play golf with my brother Jason his wife Marci and new baby Elin! The boys mostly played while Marc and I hit a few balls and chatted in the cart! (I don't know how people don't get a cart, golf wouldn't be the same without one!!!!) We then proceeded on to dinner, I got to pick where; of course I chose NYPD pizza(i always want to go there) with no complaint Curt agreed!!! It was perfect, the sun was on its way down so the sky turned all orange and pinky, we decided to sit outside to enjoy the warmth and the great view! I sipped on my DC and hung out with Curt loved it! After all that we headed to the classic fireworks spot...behind Target! Pulled out the old green quilt and sat with curt while the various blaring American tunes were played during the firework show...we danced to the band that followed the fireworks (Curt was such a good sport about it he knows how much i love doing that!) We met up with some friends at SOnic (blue coconut slush is delisious) it is a must have the next time you go!

For Curt and I this was pretty special we spent our 4th of July's away from each other for the past two years..yes this could be cheesey, okay it is but we both always thought of the other on the 4th of July and only wanted to be with each other and this year we got to! We went up to the rodeo in Draper and watch fireworks just us no busy Target area that night. It was just our time to be with each other. We were so happy that this year we could be together and enjoy this holiday! One of the best weekends! Love this holiday!!!

I realized that Curt and I have a ton of fun together...who doesn't when they realize they are in love right?! Well two saturdays ago Curt surprised me with a day of adventures. I guess it really started on friday night; some of mine and Curts friends made a ginormous fort! It consisted of a huge fort room and little paths leading to a bunch of separate baby rooms! We had a big slumber party in the main room of the fort! And of course anyone that has a sleep over with me knows I hate being the only one awake in the morning so they all got woken up earlier then they were all expecting!!!!(saturday morning) we went and played tennis on south mountain that over looked the whole valley(secret court)..Curt always puts a wager on our games cuz he always wins...now I owe him dinner(and a kiss)! After the game we met up with my brother Brian + fiance Emily for NYPD pizza in draper! Amazing food and they have a killer deal right now, so get your skinny butts down there; its right next to the new Harmon's. The day doesn't end here; we then got to go to the REAL GAME! Real came through for us with 3 goals, smashing the other team! MAN I LOVE SOCCER!!!!! Following the game we went back to my parents house to watch part of the Jazz game and eat my favorite dinners chicken tacos! Dang those Lakers....GO SUNS!!!!! To end the night we rode with my brother Jason + his wife Marci to met my sister Mary + her husband Todd to watch the new Iron Man 2 in the IMAX theater! I am obsessed with Iron man! It wasn't as good as the 1st but well worth going and seeing! Needless to say it was the best day!

I've had this blog for a good three months...or close to it...I realized lookin back that all you bloggers, in this so called blogsphere know nothing about Kathryn Dahl aka babydahl...(3rd person talk my girl staci is definitely rubbing off on me)
I would start with 1988; which all of you would love seeing that you love blogging and love reading about everybody's life...I do it for the majority of my day too, don't be ashamed you are not alone! You don't know me but for the most part I don't like talking about myself (i feel like i am contradicting myself right now by writing this) regardless that is the excuse being used for not hearing about my life until now... Let's just start with today instead of 1988 for time sake. In days to come I will slowly but surely let you in on my hidden, for now past! I am now 21, birthday was yesterday, inauguration for party time is officially over!
I love it when people ask what I am doin with my life...I give the same answer that every person from ages 18-24 give "oh I am going to school and working part time" you know my tone of voice when I say that...
The questioner then acts surprised and says that just great...like you are doing something great with your life when really you are just barely getting by trying to really figure out what you are going to do, cuz in 2 years when you graduate you are really going to be screwed cuz you have some lame degree and not a clue what to do with it..but sure enough you know you are GREAT...thank you for those people that keep telling you that. This was a round about way to let you know I am in college and that college is great even if its a bunch of years just deciding on who and what to be. Figuring that out, is always a good time: dumb decision and dying of laughter, making new friends and too many enemies...patty? Gotta love it!
I have an obsession...usually, with girls you have 1. shoe obsession, 2. boy obsession 3. handbag obsession...thank you friends for not being "this kind of girl" My obsession is volleyball, all 5'5 and a little of me wants to be Carrie Walsh! I have even resorted to church volleyball so I can play at least 3 times a week...don't worry 3rd ward, though you have no skills, you're a team to play and its definitely entertaining!
